MTS says moves to own antifraud system replacing foreign software
MOSCOW, Sep 1 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator MTS has moved to its own antifraud system Fraud Detection Platform and replaced foreign software entirely, the company said on Friday in a statement.
“Fraudsters invent new scams. To be a step ahead of them, we use our main resources, which are expertise and modern technologies. Together with the antifraud department of MTS’ security block we have succeeded in developing a unified easily adjustable solution not only for telecom companies, but for the whole market, banks, retailers, e-commerce and others,” Andrei Yefremov, head for IT at MTS’ IT cluster Infrastructure Development, said.
“The key advantage of Fraud Detection Platform for business customers will be that the scenarios in case of a potential fraud can be set on their own, without asking developers.”
Unlike monitoring on foreign software, which worked only on statistic rules, the platform’s algorithms include machine learning detection based on more than 250 parameters calculated for all active subscribers of MTS.
